Looking back on 2015

Before we look ahead to 2016, I thought we would take a look back through 2015 in pictures.

In January we took a few trips to Lexington. It was very relaxing to enjoy coffee, cupcakes, and books on chilly Saturday afternoons.

Michael was interviewed on WMST radio. He talked about his position at the library and his plans for the upcoming year.

In February we finally had a huge snowstorm. School was cancelled for seven school days in a row.

In March we received a package from Michael's Aunt Sharon. The package was filled with pictures and letters that she collected from Michael's childhood!

In April both my parents and Michael's mother came for a visit. We took a trip to Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill during each visit.

We attended our first beauty pageant in May. The Miss Bath County Pageant is a huge event in our area.

When school ended in June I headed to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Michael's family. Michael's Aunt Sharon was also visiting at the same time!

I journeyed to Vermont for a week with my family. The weather was perfect during the whole trip. I forgot how beautiful Vermont is in the summer.

On the 4th of July we headed out on our vacation to Wisconsin and Minnesota. We spent a good deal of time visiting with Michael's extended family.

School started back in early August. The 1st Day back the teachers dressed up as zombies.

Michael's Mother visited us again in September.

On a warm Saturday morning in October we took a trip to Two Sister's Pumpkin Patch.

Michael's library hosted a Haunted Library event on Halloween. Over 680 people attended the event over two nights.

We participated in a local Christmas parade in November. We rode in the bookmobile and threw candy out to the kids. It was a warm and windy afternoon, it didn't feel much like the holiday season.

We started a new holiday tradition this year. During one evening we decorated a few glass ornaments for our tree. It was a lot of fun to get out the craft supplies and spend some time together.

We hosted Freeway the Frog from our nephew's 3rd grade class. Freeway enjoyed his visit to my school and to Michael's work.

We spent a day in Manhattan.  One of my Bucket List items was to spend a day in New York City taking pictures. We did an obscene amount of walking, but it was so much fun!

We spent Christmas in Vermont with my family. Michael was excited to finally beat my mother at a round of Boggle.

New Year's Eve was spent at with Michael's family. We played games and opened gifts. Michael's sister surprised each family with a quilt created from Michael's Father's clothing. Such a touching keepsake and the perfect way to end a year of grieving.

Each new year is full of so many possibilities, big events and small moments! Come back later this week when I will be sharing my goals for 2016, including a printable goal setting worksheet!

What were some of your favorite moments of 2015?
